A man who can manipulate kugutsu, protecting the barrier around his city.

Tsunanori comes from the long lineage of the important Mido family of Miyako City, a world filled with traditional, old-fashioned city streets that sprawl out from the central Gokakudo Temple. He can control kugutsu, or animated puppets, which bear their own will.

The last great war destroyed the old societal and spiritual order alive in Miyako City, and ever since, the city has been plagued with all kinds of supernatural phenomena. Tsunanori is selected for the Cathedral Project to investigate other worlds and restore order to the spiritual realm. With the kugutsu accompanying him, he sets out on a journey to other worlds to find four elemental spirits to accomplish his task.

While in Miyako City, she assumes the identity of an 11-year-old schoolgirl named Yumeha Izumi and lives with LoLo, her cat familiar. But after being attacked by an unknown man, she loses practically all of her magical power.

Siugnas is an immortal vampire who rules over Yomi, a world shrouded in darkness, as the Dismal King.

A guardian of Mazewood, located in the south of the Bafal Emprire. She was raised by the witch Eule, a longtime dweller of the forest. She has a warm personality and loves nature and peace, and the animals of the wood honour her. It is said that a great secret surrounds her origins. 

Claudia

An accomplished adventurer who travels the world for love of treasure. Countless brushes with danger have toughened his mind and body. He is swayed by neither riches, power, nor appeals to morality. And if the situation calls for it, he does not hesitate to kill. 

Gray

The son of Lord Rudolf of Rosalia, master of Isthmus Keep. As Rudolf's heir, he was strictly trained from childhood in both academia and swordcraft. He believes in justice and dreams of becoming a royal knight, but he also has a naïve side.

Albert

A member of the Taralians, a tribe of nomads who wander the Steppes of Galessa. She lost both her parents at a young age and was raised by her grandfather Nizam elder of the tribe. Growing up among peace-loving and pure-minded people, she developed a curious and cheerful personality.

Although Fuse has training in meditation techniques, he is dismissive and contemptuous of IRPO's mental training.

Riki's homeworld, Margmel, is dying, and only the power of the legendary rings will prevent the entire region from being destroyed. Liz's battle maniac daughter born from the unholy union of the Archfiend's essence and Liz's soul when the day of the Death Eclipse happened. She's the current Child of Fate alongside her twin brother Bertrand.

Liz's son born likewise product of the cursed soul of the Archfiend, and Josephine's brother. He was kidnapped when he was a newborn and any memories from him were erased from everyone. He soon became entranced with death and sought to destroy the world.

A young girl found astray in the world of SaGa Frontier by Liam when he was on a mission. She appears to be looking for something but refuses disclose about it. Oddly, she has an elemental light affinity.

Drawing close to 300 years after the revival of the world, Morastrum threatens to rise again and the world has been experiencing changes as strange structures have been appearing all over the world. These structures have been simply named as Graves, as they contain the memories and living images of people from other worlds within their halls. While some Graves are seemingly harmless, some have served as bases spawning hordes of monsters and are used to seal evil-natured entities that seek naught but destruction. Word has spread that by reaching the highest level of these towers would allow the recruiting of these warriors, be them of good or ill nature. Zenon Ausbach, current Marquis of Loanne, has been aware of this for quite some time and has decided to intervene by creating the Grave Knights, a task force comprised of select people dedicated to combating the growing menace of the Graves. Meanwhile, the ever growing Messina Empire has sought to claim control over the Graves and its warriors so they could impose their rule over the world by force. Ellen is originally from Pidona and skilled with axes. Unlike her sister Sarah, she is outgoing and prefers a good fight over daintier pastimes. She grew up as friends with Julian and Thomas.

Julian is a Sinon settler in the southern part of Loanne and is childhood friends with Thomas, Ellen and Sarah. He has a strong sense of justice, but can be a little reckless. His default Star of Fate is Artemis and his signature weapon is a sword.

Monika places great trust in Katarina, seeing as how the latter serves as her personal bodyguard. Mikhail places trust in her as the guardian of the Masquerade; a remnant of the Matriarch given to the royal family of Loanne.

Katarina Lauran

A Prince of the Gessiah Dynasty of the Naj Kingdom which was destroyed 10 years prior the start of the game. He has animosity towards the Divine Church, as they were the ones who destroyed the Kingdom and overthrown the rule of the Monarchy in lieu of a theocracy.

Mikhail, the current Marquis of Loanne, ascended to the throne at a very young age, and spent much of his life spoiled. He often acts as though his ideas are superior to whatever anyone else can proffer up.

Monika is a princess, and the sister of Mikhail. She is loving and kind, and cares about the safety and welfare of those around her. She will go to any length to ensure that those she feels responsible for are safe.
